The Shift

Regulation Is Moving. Capacity Has to Follow.

Moulded fibre food container and bowl in use

GCC governments are restricting single-use plastics. From 1 January 2026 the UAE banned the import, manufacture and trade of single-use plastic cups and lids, cutlery, plates, straws, stirrers and Styrofoam food containers.¹ Qatar has banned single-use plastic bags for institutions, companies and malls since November 2022.²

Moulded fibre, formed from paper fibre and pulp, is a proven replacement for food-service ware and medical disposables. The constraint in the region is production capacity, and capacity starts with the right machinery, tooling and start-up support.

Fibre-Based

Production runs on paper fibre and pulp, replacing plastic and Styrofoam packaging.

Stable Production

Full-servo platforms built with high-grade components deliver stable, repeatable output.

Fast Tool Change

Tools switch within hours with easy alignment, so one line can serve several products and customers.

Energy Choice

High-capacity lines use energy-efficient dryers fired by LNG or diesel, matched to the site’s fuel supply.

Idea to Production

A turnkey programme covers product design, tooling, installation, commissioning and start-up, shortening time to market.

Production Systems

Two Platforms. One Tooling Standard.

Advanced moulding for food service packaging; high-capacity flexible moulding for volume trays and disposables. Both run on precision tooling engineered for fast change-over.

Common Questions

Moulded Fibre: Frequently Asked Questions

Moulded fibre, also called moulded pulp, is packaging formed from paper fibre and pulp, shaped in precision tooling and dried. It is used for food-service ware, egg and produce trays, cup carriers and medical disposables.
Rules differ by country. The UAE banned single-use plastic cups and lids, cutlery, plates, straws, stirrers and Styrofoam food containers from 1 January 2026. Qatar has banned single-use plastic bags for institutions, companies and malls since November 2022 under Ministerial Decision No. 143 of 2022. Check current national rules for your products and market.
Full-servo platforms produce products such as plates, bowls and food containers. High-capacity flexible moulding lines produce volume products such as egg trays, produce trays, cup carriers and medical disposables, and can run multiple products at once.
Tools are designed with fast-alignment features and can be switched within hours, so a single line can serve several products.
Yes. The Concept supplies equipment on its own or as a turnkey programme covering product design, tooling, installation, commissioning and start-up.
Packaging converters adding fibre capacity, new entrants building a local plant, and brand owners or food-service groups bringing packaging production in-house.
